Vision

The vision mechanism is very complex, it collects light from the environment, regulates its intensity through a diaphragm, focuses it through an adjustable set of lenses to form an image, converts this image into a set of electrical signals and transmits these signals to the brain through complex neural pathways that connect the eye through the optic nerve to the visual cortex and other areas of the brain.

The incidence of age-related eye diseases is expected to increase with the aging of the population. Oxidation and inflammation are involved in the etiology of these diseases.
