VeinTain®

3 plant extracts traditionally used for therapeutic purposes

This formulation represents a natural focus. It is a very interesting combination of 3 plant extracts that are well known and traditionally used.

Ginkgo Biloba: For its benefits, Ginkgo Biloba, sometimes called simply Ginkgo, is probably the most popular vegetable in the world, being used by millions of people in Europe and North America.

It is the oldest surviving tree species on earth (300 million years). We use the pharmaceutical grade ginkgo that conforms to the German Monograph (so they have strict quality standards) . We do this because we know that ginkgo may contain a naturally occurring but undesirable compound called ginkgolic acid, which can cause side effects in some people. And of course we choose the high grade ginkgo that has strictly controlled the safe levels of less than 5 ppm of this compound.

Cinnamon: There are two main types of cinnamon spices: Cinnamon cassia and Cinnamon ceylon . We use the correct species and the relevant part of the Cinnamomum cassia plant, since our extract is obtained from the bark of the tree (and not from the oil) which is the essential part and responsible for the properties of cinnamon.

With respect to volatile components, the chemical composition of cinnamon essential oils depends on the part of the plant from which they are extracted. In the essential oil of the bark, the most abundant component is cinnamaldehyde and that is why this is the part that is used in the standardized cinnamon extracts of LAMBERTS®.

Ginger: This versatile root has an incredible variety of useful applications, for the human being. It is native to parts of India and China, as well as Jamaica and other tropical areas. From ancient India and China to Greece and Rome, ginger was revered as a culinary and medicinal spice.

Two capsules provide 6000 mg of ginkgo (as 120 mg of extract) the amount that the studies have confirmed as an effective dose.

VeinTain® uses plant extracts to ensure the presence of active ingredients. For greater conservation of the special volatile compounds present in ginger and cinnamon, we have chosen to produce VeinTain® in the form of tablets.

As with almost all Lamberts® products, VeinTain® is made to GMP pharmaceutical standards in the UK.
