Lamberts® Acidophilus Extra 10 is one of the UK’s strongest probiotics. Each capsule contains 10 billion friendly bacteria (at the time of manufacture) with the advantage that only one capsule per day needs to be taken.
Whilst our Acidophilus Extra 10 is stable at room temperature, to ensure maximum potency, we store it in refrigerated conditions until despatch. We also include a desiccant lining in every pot since moisture is known to be a main factor in spoiling viability.
Lamberts® was one of the first companies to produce live bacteria capsules in the UK (over 30 years ago) so we know how to do it properly.
Protecting ingredients such as live bacteria from stomach acids to maintain potency is crucial which is why we have chosen to use special Delayed Release (DR) capsules. These innovative DR capsules target release after anextended time period, protecting the live bacteria from degradation in the stomach. Our DR capsules are vegetarian and made of plant-based cellulose with a 3 times lower moisture content that typical gelatin-based ones.
Which is why an independent study found our product was one of the few tested that contained what was claimed on the label.

To be stored in a cool, dry place and protected from light, keep it out of reach of smallest children.

Take 1 capsule a day with a glass of water preferably first thing in the morning when the pH of the stomach is highest (that is, not as acidic).
Do not take within half an our of consuming food or hot drinks, heat kills bacteria.
Do not exceed the expressly recommended daily dose.
