Where do the blioflavonoids used in Lamberts® products come from?
R/ Our blioflavonoids come from citrus fruits. Blioflavonoids are vegetable substances, water soluble molecules and they represent a big part of the colorants in yellow, red and blue vegetables.
They are usually found in the inner white part of citrus skin, amongst them the most know are rutin, quercetin, citrine and hesperidin. Vitamin C and bioflavonoids normally occur together in nature. Bioflavonoids have antioxidant properties very similar to those of vitamin C, and invitro, have been shown to protect vitamin C.
