Insomnia is the most common form of sleep disorder and is defined as the inability to fall asleep or to remain asleep for an adequate length of time. It can be caused by any number of factors including tension, emotional upset, caffeine or alcohol consumption, depression, hypoglycemia and physical pain.

Diet and lifestyle

Avoid caffeine and alcohol for these impair the quality of sleep. Regular exercise provides well-being and improves sleep quality. Try to stick to a regular sleep schedule and take a relaxing bath prior to bedtime.
